Let's talk about the Banshee's advantages, shall we? Actually, I'll talk. You just listen.
The Banshee is incredibly versatile, which I myself can testify to. I may not be the greatest pilot and my accuracy with the onboard weapons can and should be laughed at, but when all of that fails, I can still smash into you at boost speed and send you to your grave. I lack finesse, but I get results.
If you're an experienced pilot at you're at the helm of a Banshee, you can stay alive for quite some time and be quite a nuisance. Like I mentioned last week, your twin, rapid fire plasma cannons and fuel rod cannon can make short work of infantry and vehicles. Throw in the boost capabilities, which lets you zoom in and out of combat, and you have a vehicle that's perfectly suited for hit and run tactics.
When you're trying to stay alive, boosting is your best friend. It helps you avoid the beam from a Spartan Laser, you can temporarily outrun a homing missing from a missile pod, and it's general great for escaping hot zones. On top of this, the Banshee can perform barrel rolls and flips, which allow you to avoid incoming fire that you can't simply outrun.
