Bungie Day has come and gone and the pride overflowing from this Bungie Weekly Update is almost too much to bear.
Bungie took on the world and they won. Even dressed up as fairies and full to the brim with alcohol, they pulled out the win. It was a close win at 72 - 69, but it was a shameful, drunken win all the same.
Urk posted some quotes that were heard throughout Bungie Day. He says there to help ease the pain, but I thinks quotes like “I personally feel good that even drunk and/or hungover, we can still conquer the world…" just kind of rub it in.
Still, quotes like "Even in defeat you're still a classy lady. Good game, World. Good game" do tend to make one feel better. Check out the update for the rest of the quotes and the stats of the Bungie staffers.
If you took on one of Bungie's four-man squads and took them down, you should have Recon armor.
A total of 7,447,415 games were played that day. For those players who didn't beat Bungie and even those players that didn't even run into them at all, Recon is still being handed out based on what Urk calls "super secret metrics." Over 700 sets of Recon are being given away based on these metrics, so be sure to check them out. They aren't announcing the actual winners on the site, but those who won should have Recon armor next time they fire up the game.
