It's Wednesday, so that means it's time for part 3 of my Mongoose feature. What better way to speed through the rest of the week than on a speedy Mongoose?
I should write informercials!
Like all other vehicles, plasma grenades are very effective against the Mongoose, provided that you're skilled enough to stick one. However, due to the vehicle's speed and the fact that only one or two people are riding it at all times, a skilled enough driver can dismount quick enough to send it hurtling forward like a giant bomb.
The Gravity Hammer can also make quick work of a Mongoose, and even a close miss could send it flying. Again, the wielder needs to be plenty skilled.
Players driving a Brute Chopper can simply boost and run a Mongoose right over.
I mentioned last week that it's even possible to melee a Mongoose driver. While this is definitely possible, it should only be attempted by The Flash. And those with death wishes. An effective strategy is to play chicken and tempt them to ram you head on. Once they get close, hop out of the way and smack that driver right upside his skull. It's not easy, but it's a surefire way for a boy to become a man.
Next week I'll start to tackle multiplayer strategies (or strats, as I like to call them).
