Last week I started my feature on the Mongoose. Hit the jump to read about how the Mongoose operates.

Going into combat with a Mongoose is a risky manuever. It should only be done with a heavily armed passenger, and even then the vehice isn't very well defended. The driver and especially the passenger are wide open, making them incredibly vulnerable to incoming fire. Those with good marksmanship can easily pick off its riders. Close range opponents can also melee attack the driver and passenger.

The Mongoose itself isn't even powerful enough to kill Flood forms on impact; it instead just drives over them.

One defense advantage it does have, however, is that its speed makes it near impossible to hijack.

The Brute Shot and Rocket Launcher are very effective against the Mongoose, as a close hit will send the vehicle careening off in whichever direction it was going.

However, when not in combat situations, the Mongoose's small size can come in handy. For example, the vehicle can be taken over Man Cannons and can be landed properly with enough skill. The Mongoose can also pop wheelies and drive on the back two wheels. This has no useful applications, but next to teabagging, it's a great way to taunt your opponents.

Next week I'll talk about more combat strategies and some multiplayer applications.
