High-five my cheeseburger-chompin', apple pie-munching friends - Halo Wars sold 250,000 copies in the US on its first day of release.
According to VGChartz, the sales numbers put Halo Wars roughly on par with Killzone 2, which is a weird comparison to me. Comparing Halo 3 to Killzone 2 makes more sense, even though they're on different systems. But comparing a PS3 exclusive shooter to an Xbox 360 exclusive RTS is just bananas, as far as I'm concerned.
Halo Wars has already passed the 200,000 mark outside of the Americas and is on track to easily pass one million.
Now, is this really a shock? Be honest.
