That is indeed interesting, but if you compare it to World of Warcraft its not that significant. Lets assume everyone of the 11million players in the last 4 years accumulated 25 days played (that's pretty low for most people, but it should average out accounts that rarely get logged in. I think I'm well over 200 days played; adding up all characters)
that's 275 000 000 days or 753 425 years. Counting backwards that's half a million years before neanderthals.
This is just World of Warcraft too, not even including the Starcraft, Diablo and Warcraft(RTS) games.
So while I love Bungie and halo, this certainly doesn't make them the greatest gaming company ever, or perhaps it just makes them the greatest first person shooter gaming company ever.

He's just expressing his opinion in my opinion Bungie is the greatest, but you're talking about a different Platform, and gaming system. World of Warcraft has absolutely nothing to do with Halo at all, so why bring it up? Besides world of warcraft means you absolutely have almost no life just like second life (no offense to those who play it) I'm just saying that it's a person's opinion and you don't have to contradict him just because he stated his opinion. Oh and besides 753,425 years means you REALLY don't have a life.

All that he was doing was offering some perspective on the article, which i think is actually pretty interesting. So what if its a different system? you are obviously just another angry microsoft fanboy. this article isnt about a competition between platforms, its about time spent playing a video game, so his post is completely relevant, as well as being interesting (it certainly contributes alot more to the discussion than your post did, anyway). you are needlessly making the argument personal, saying that he has "almost no life-" if you want to accuse someone for being irrelevant, at least try not to be much more so yourself. You accuse Velric of "contradicting him-" first of all, your post serves solely to contradict Velric's opinion, which he is "just expressing." Secondly, so what if he was contradicting ozzieking? you seem to think that contradicting someone is akin to attacking them about their opinion- this is what YOU are doing in your post, not what Velric was doing in his.
