For those who didn't know, the single player Halo Wars demo hit Xbox Live today. In fact, if you didn't know, you have no place here! What sort of Halo fan are you if you weren't aware of the Halo Wars demo? In fact, don't even read this! Go play it - now!

But wait! I need you!

It's just my luck that as soon as the Halo Wars demo comes out, the console gods decided to ruin my Xbox. That's right. I have succumbed (once again) to the red rings of death. I never got to the play the Halo Wars demo.

This is where all of you come in. I need you to play it for me. I will experience that demo through my community! I encourage each and every one of you to post in the comments and let me know what you think.

Hey, I read here quite a bit, and when I saw that no one posted a comment for you, I logged in and.....
The demo is truly amazing. It has 2 tutorials, 2 campaign levels, and a skirmish mode where you 1v1 on 1 of the multiplayer maps against the computer. The controls are tight and easy, and I ALMOST had more fun upgrading (spell?) my units then I did fighting. Almost.
More later.

Well, I hate to say this but, as far as RTS games go, Halo Wars is kinda mediocre. Not to say its terrible or anything, just not extraordinary like we've come to expect from Halo games. This isn't going to stop me from buying it though, This game+The Mythic Map Pack+ all the other random stuff that comes with the Halo Wars LCE, is still easily worth the $80 USD price tag IMO. (Mostly for the maps) So all in all, 3 out of 5.

hey man i feel so bad for yo because you missed out on the greatest demo ever. in the 2 campaign levels you start with 1 hog and you pick up stranded marines and take back alpha base in level 1. in level 2 you have to make a base and upgrade it so you can have more resources and marines and hogs, and if you level it up enough you get scorpions and cobras. so in the cut scene before level 2 the arbiter finds this big door that leads to a cave, but once you reach it the demo stops. and in the skirmish mode you choose either humans or the covenant to play as. hope you get your 360 back so you can experience it for your self.
