And the battle continues! The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: World at War, knocked Halo 3 out of the top spot in late December and still holds the spot today, roughly three weeks later.

The rest of the top five are Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty 4, and Left 4 Dead, respectively. I mentioned a while back that Halo 3 could benefit from Call of Duty fans being split between the fourth and fifth entries in the franchise, and while they are split - Call of Duty 4 holding on to fourth proves that - it looks like enough of them have flocked to World at War to push it in first.

But like always, will it last?
